Dr. Shiels completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the world renowned UCSD Eating Disorder Treatment and Research Center. Eating disorders are biological illnesses that unfortunately, can be fatal. Nobody is to blame for having symptoms of an eating disorder. Dr. Shiels offers family-based treatment (FBT) for children and adolescents, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
